Tourism in Windsor includes Casino Windsor, a thriving downtown area, Little Italy, the Odette Sculpture Park, and Ojibway Park.  The city was also a major entry point of refugees from slavery via the Underground Railroad.  The city was also a major source for liquor during the American Prohibition.  The now bankrupt Capital Theatre was a major venue for films, plays and other attractions since 1929, until it closed in 2007.  The city is also called the City of Roses due to the large amounts of parks and gardens along the waterfront that are abundant in rose bushes.  The largest park along the waterfront is a compilation of several different parks, containing the Odette Sculpture Park that has over 30 contemporary sculptures open to the public.  Going through the motions of intimacy creates a longstanding barrier between husband and wife and sometimes the only way to take it down is through marriage counselling. Its not always enough to think we can do everything on our own without help. A marriage therapist Windsor has the unique perspective of looking on the outside in and through counseling, can shine illuminating light on misconceptions that you may never have realized before. There is also a Canadian Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the park.  On the east side of the park is the Bert Weeks Memorial Gardens and the Coventry Gardens.  The Charles Brooks Memorial Peace Fountain is displayed directly across from Detroit, which symbolizes the peaceful relationship between Canada and the United States.

The summertime abounds with festivities, including a two-week long festival, Windsor-Detroit International Freedom Festival, which is co-sponsored between the two cities.1 The festival includes an enormous fireworks display which celebrates Canada Day, which is July 1st, and the Fourth of July for the United States.  The fireworks display is thought to be one of the world’s largest displays, and is held on the last Wednesday in June each year.  The display is done along the Detroit River between the two downtown areas, with over a million visitors to the festival each year.  The impact of a sudden relationship breakup can leave us devastated and utterly alone. Christian marriage counselling can identify all parts of the chasm between you and start the process of restoration and rebuilding. Family counselling is an important part of maintaining a healthy relationship as a couple as well as with your children. The empowerment that couples counseling introduces into your life is life changing. Plus since this area is part of Canada, there are things available in Canada that is not available in the United States, such as certain imported foods, Cuban cigars, among other things. The younger crowd, from ages 19-20 will visit Windsor due to the lowered drinking age, of 19 in Canada.  Not unusual, there have been quite a few NHL hockey players come out of Windsor, including Aaron Ward, Sean Burke, Steve Moore, Tim Kerr, Dan Jancevski, among many others.
