Career counselling helps to support individuals in exploring career goals, clarify their professional paths, and make informed decisions about their future. This process can include examining and identifying skills, strengths, and interests, in addition to looking at professional and educational options. To begin with, we will examine your values, skills, interests, and career aspirations. We may then work towards understanding your career options and how to reach these goals.

Are you feeling stuck, unmotivated or undervalued at work? It is almost impossible to distinguish career counselling from personal therapy-we spend so much of our lives at work. Our work can influence our lives at home, and vice versa. This type of therapy may look at interview preparation, interpersonal communication, skills training, career modification or alteration, and even retirement planning.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I enjoyed a long and successful career where I specialized in staffing, resource management, and business operations. I am also a fully trained career and life coach, where I work with clients to help them strive for and achieve their personal and professional goals. In therapy, I work with clients on all aspects of their career including: dealing with difficult coworkers, managing work/life balance, pursuing advances in their careers, exploring new careers, job transition and job loss.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
