If you have lost someone, I offer a compassionate and supportive space to explore your unique experience of loss. Listening carefully to your story, there's an opportunity to identify and honour your feelings, your memories and your relationship. Through gentle conversation and questions, there's a chance to rewrite your grief story, discover strengths, attend to resilience and find meaning amidst your pain. You can begin to acknowledge what you've been through while promoting healing, growth, a continued bond with the one who has passed and learning to live with loss

Loss can break, alienate, initiate, and open. It can lead to oceans of feelings looming over us, a sense of being distanced from oneself and others—far away adrift at sea, rage at the injustice of loss, and even shame at experiencing rage. I can't predict what the waves may be like for you, but I can help you respond to them. Whether your instinct is to hold, brace, jump, dive, run, scream, float, or let the waves wash over you, together we can feel out what to do and what to make of it all.

If you are reading this description because you have recently suffered a loss, please know that I am deeply sympathetic to your pain. In therapy, my intent is to bear witness to your suffering, to ensure that your emotions are sorted through and given open expression, and then to help find meaning in what often seems a meaningless situation. I believe that grief is complicated, highly personal, and not responsive to formulas or prescribed methods of treatment. There is only an untread path, and I would be honoured to walk it with you.

I am honoured that you are interested in my services and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been described as slightly non-conventional in the counselling world, which suits me perfectly, and also tends to suit youth who are trying to stand up to the force of the problems in their life. I am very comfortable working with this population, and I feel fortunate that I can connect with teens the way I do, conventionally or in a way that makes sense to them.

I understand that the pain you're going through right now feels unbearable, like a heavy weight on your soul. In our work together, we'll create a safe space to explore your feelings and memories, using therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique experience of grief. While the journey ahead may be challenging, it's important to remember that healing is possible. You don't have to go through this alone; I'll be here to support you every step of the way, helping you find a path toward hope and renewal.

I can offer you a compassionate and healing presence, where you can begin to sort out your feelings and needs. You are unique in your healing process, and I will be there to listen and offer support and understanding. Only when we are deeply heard is it possible to move forward and change. It is possible to move beyond grief and loss with the right support, and you are never meant to do this alone.

I can help you make peace with the aftermath of the loss of loved ones, friends, and pet friends too! The feelings of loss and bereavement can be overwhelming and difficult to process. I will create a safe space for you to confront and come to terms with how loss is affecting you, and help you adjust to the many changes that loss has on our lives.
