Are you struggling with the ups and downs of life and wondering how to make changes for the better? You probably didn't plan or imagine life as it is now but have made a decision to get the right help. As a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Registered Psychotherapist, I specialize in helping people just like you. In a world where we are taught from a young age to become independent, we often learn strategies that help us to ignore what we are feeling but are still left with a feeling of general lethargy that can impact many aspects of our life. 

 
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and I help those who are struggling with varying issues, including-

  • adjustment to a single life following separation or divorce

  • birth trauma

My Road to Becoming a Psychotherapist:
I set out on my path to adulthood with the expectations of a successful career, a happy marriage and thriving children. While some things turned out as I had hoped, life has not gone completely as I had planned. Along the way, I have experienced the loss of my spouse and my brother, a move overseas, a failed marriage, a fulfilling yet challenging career as a midwife while at the same time juggling the demands of being a Mom. This journey deeply influenced the work I do now- each and every difficulty that I have faced has nudged me perfectly to the place I find myself in today.
 
About my approach:
My approach is gentle and non-judgemental. I honour our innate attachment needs and emotions. The dignity that I upheld through warm, considerate and respectful care as a midwife is transferred to the clients who I care for as a psychotherapist today.
No matter why you seek therapy, my hope is that you will feel safe to be vulnerable with me so that we can work on your deeper issues. Together, we will pave the way forward so that you feel better and have the skills to show up to the significant people in your life as your authentic self.
 
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology
  • Registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
  • Canadian Certified Counsellor
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship Certificate
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy Core Skills 
  • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy Level 1 Certificate
  • Perinatal Mood Disorders Certificate
  • Fundamentals of Addiction (CAMH) Certificate
  • Intensive Sex Therapy Certificate, Guelph University
  • BSc (Hons) Midwifery
Cost:
Individual Therapy- $200 + HST per 50 minute session
Couples Therapy- $200 + HST per 50 minute session 
 
 
Location:
Therapy is currently in person in Port Credit, and online anywhere in the province of Ontario
