Ingrid Dresher, RP

Registered Psychotherapist (College of Psychotherapists of Ontario)

Eglinton and Kipling (two minutes east of Highway 427), Etobicoke, Ontario

Most people consider psychotherapy because they are in crisis and seek an intervention that will improve their lives. The issue may involve work or the recognition of recurring, destructive themes that prevent them from living out their dreams. I use a framework called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, originating from Diana Fosha. It uses a model of attachment to establish a clear, supportive relationship that helps people feel safe enough to explore deeper issues and to know that they are not alone. I aim to help them reach inside themselves to deal with painful feelings, make way for the resilience and wisdom that reside in each of us and find the transformation we seek.

David Knapp, MC. CCC.

Mississauga, Ontario

A doctor cannot perform surgery on themselves, nor can a dentist fill their own cavities. Similarly we cannot view our own personal problems clearly without someone else helping us gain perspective. As a psychotherapist, I can help you gain insight into yourself (goals, dreams, fears, pain) and help you plan out next steps accordingly. While I do not do psychological archeology (digging up the past for the joy of discovery), I do recognize that learned behaviors originated in your past. Those learned behaviours may have been necessary for a time, but often are no longer serving you well in the present. I can help you make sense of how the past is impacting you now,

Real Life Counselling

Individual and Couples Counselling

205 Matheson Boulevard East Unit 15, Mississauga, Ontario

Psychotherapy is a place where you can feel comfortable to "be yourself". It is okay to ask yourself where your life is today, and where you'd like to be in the future. Psychotherapy can help us with an obstacles or event that is happening in our lives that causes us grief, pain, and feels uncomfortable. In these situations, it is reassuring to have another person to go over these events with us. We analyze and work through these events, as well as develop coping strategies to help us in our daily lives.

Clairelise Folch, MA, RP, OACCPP

Certified Counsellor and Registered Psychotherapist

1401 Golden Meadow Trail, Oakville, Ontario

Psychotherapy addresses some of the same challenges as counselling does, but aims its focus more deeply on the psychological roots of problems and unhealthy behavior patterns. Some of our belief- and behavior patterns develop in childhood, others evolve through subsequent life experiences. In our sessions, I will gently help you understand your emotions, thoughts and action and where they might originate. We will explore possible sources of your stress, and I will guide and support you to become aware, that you can heal your past and explore ways to effectively cope in the present. 905-842-3626

Claudia offers assessment, treatment planning and individual psychotherapy for children, youth, and adults experiencing difficulties related to attachment, adoption and foster care, anxiety, grief and loss, divorce and custody issues, depression, eating disorders, physical and sexual abuse, self-harm, and relationships.

Ellis Nicolson, M.Div; R.P.; RMFT

Registered Psychotherapist; Registered Marriage and Family Therapist

4291 Village Centre Court, Suite 201, Mississauga, Ontario

I take a positive based approach in my counselling. I believe that lasting change happens when you draw out the truths within yourself and your relationships. I do not treat people as problems, as people are people and problems are problems. I do not like lables; I believe people are a lot more than what they may be currently struggling with. I seek to understand the full context of a person, rather than just focusing on a specific issue.
