I believe that spirituality is a large component to building healthy relationships, overcoming life circumstances, and addressing big life questions. I encourage the exploration of your spirituality in the midst of your pain. My orientation is based on a Christian world view; however, I welcome clients with any religious orientation. Each session is built around your unique goals and personal world view. I welcome the opportunity to join with you wherever you are on this journey.

Christians are not immune to suffering, to mental illness, to anguish in their relationships. The faith journey and the human journey are far from easy. It can be difficult, as a Christian, to make sense of this suffering, and it often raises questions about one's faith and worldview. Christianity has something very important to say about who we are as human beings, what is the human condition, how does change happen? Christian counselling uses the tools and insights of psychology, while ultimately being aware of, and true to, a wider faith perspective. I completed my M.A. at TWU, where I focused on integrating Christianity and psychology.

I am a Bible-believing Evangelical Christian of 40 years. Yet, I welcome people of all faiths or no faith because I am neither a priest or minister, but a counsellor here to serve you. I openly identify myself as a Christian, because I believe it's fair for you to know my bias. Therefore, if I am working with a Christian client, I will join you in open prayer as you request. If I am working with a non-believer, I will engage you at YOUR level of meaning and purpose. My goal is to help you break free of whatever is holding you back.

Is anyone tired of traditional "Christian" Counseling? I know I came to that place in my life growing up, when I didn't just want to hear that God could heal all of my messes (even though I knew He could - if it is His will), I wanted to know that someone (hear on earth) had my best interests at hand too! However, there is still evil around us, and we certainly don't just want to put our hearts in minds into the hands of just anyone. It is important, in my opinion, to have an educated counselor that knows what he or she is doing, who also see's counseling as a partnership between him/herself (the counselor), God and the power of prayer, and of course the client.

It may feel extra-challenging to have a faith and find yourself with personal challenges and hurts. Christian counselling offers a space where your faith and your emotional well-being can be supported together. I provide a warm, confidential environment where we can explore what you're facing through both a therapeutic and faith-based lens. You may be facing an eating disorder, a difficult relationship, emotional challenges, or the weight of past experiences. We can work together to create meaningful change through healthier skills and therapies that support deeper transformation and your faith.
