My approach to career counselling and planning is taken from the now famous resource Designing Your Life. We apply Design Thinking to reframe obstacles to opportunities in creative ways that may be impossible to imagine now. Then we design plans to give you the inspiration and practical experiences that prove what career decision will bring you the greatest happiness, fulfillment, and reward.

Career counseling, although a ‘named form’ of counseling in itself, is yet quite transient. Usually once I begin working with a client who is requesting career counseling, we find that the hiccups they are experiencing in their quest is based on fear, anxiety and/or stress, health issues, sometimes addictions (or the addictions of others), anger issues, depression, or even shrapnel from their family of origin. So I do not view career counseling as a sole issue but rather a symptom. I love to work in this arena since it allows me to be a CSI agent for an hour, unlocking hidden truths that have become speed bumps along life’s journey to achieve one’s personal best.

Career choices can seem all-important and overwhelming. Whether you are starting, restarting, or making a change in your career - I can help you discover what the best fit for you may be. We will investigate what you are good at, what your passions are, and what kind of a working environment you need to do your best work. Along with all this we will seek to discover how and why you react to certain personalities or management styles. When you understand the reasons of your reactions we can then find ways for you to respond to situations in a healthy manner for yourself.
