I am a practising Catholic. I use a common sense approach and I respect all religions. There is no right or wrong religion. My faith has helped me many times during my lengthy career. For 14 years I was a consultant with the BC Coroner's Office and I did psychological autopsies of teens that either committed suicide or were suspected of committing suicide. Many times my faith gave me the strength to support those grieving parents in the most terrible time of their lives.

IF on the other hand, you are reviewing this section in fear that I may be a “bible thumper” or a fanatical lunatic, I want to assure you that it is never my intention to force anyone to “get converted”. As a Christian, it is actually impossible for me to relate to my clients in an authentic way if I deviate from my worldview. Having said that, the journey that you are inviting me on is YOURS, not mine and you will be fully in charge of where we travel, the speed of the journey as well as our final destination,

I believe that spirituality is a large component to building healthy relationships, overcoming life circumstances, and addressing big life questions. I encourage the exploration of your spirituality in the midst of your pain. My orientation is based on a Christian world view; however, I welcome clients with any religious orientation. I am a Bible-believing Evangelical Christian of 40 years. Yet, I welcome people of all faiths or no faith because I am neither a priest or minister, but a counsellor here to serve you. I openly identify myself as a Christian, because I believe it's fair for you to know my bias. Therefore, if I am working with a Christian client, I will join you in open prayer as you request. If I am working with a non-believer, I will engage you at YOUR level of meaning and purpose. My goal is to help you break free of whatever is holding you back.

As a pastor and an evangelist, I have firm faith in God that I offer therapy with God’s loving kindness.
