For many of us faith is not just important it is critical. As a professional therapist, I work with all kinds of faiths, with respect and honor. However I do identify and enjoy working within the context of Christianity. Over the last twenty-five years I have worked closely with believers, congregations, denominations and their leaders through individual, marriage and family issues but also issues of faith. Some times we struggle with our faith and it becomes more of a stumbling block. Other times it becomes our anchor. Having Christ as the center of history and ones life allows for resources that significantly bolster therapy.

My greatest joy over 30 years has been helping people of faith, both Jews and Christians, grow in their relationship with God while negotiating the painful experiences and choices of life. I believe that God is the ultimate healer. He does not want us to live in bondage, but rather wants people to live life fully and abundantly. In all areas of my Counselling and Coaching services, I promote a growth and learning mindset. Although my approach is non-denominational, eclectic and inclusive, my training and focus includes an MA degree in Spirituality from a Christian University and I live my life based upon Christian teachings. I support my clients so they may deal with difficult circumstances while connecting with their faith.

My approach to counselling is attachment based and trauma informed. I have extensive training in emotionally focused therapy, the gold standard in couple's therapy, which I apply in my work with couples, families, and individuals. Emotionally focused therapy closely parallels the Christian faith in how it understands human personhood and connection. I am trained through a biblical lens and comfortable including faith in the work we will do. During our sessions I take an engaged and active role in the process, focused on helping you to identify the areas where you may be stuck and working with you to make changes aligned with your goals and faith.
