Whatever you are struggling with right now in your life, I recognize that it can be difficult to take the first step to reach out.  I can assure you that I am committed to providing you with a safe, warm, and accepting environment where you can feel comfortable to begin the process of working towards your personal wellness goals.
I have over eight years of experience helping clients who self-identified as having symptoms of mental illness and/or a physical disability.  I see resilience and great potential in the clients with whom I get to work with.  My approach to therapy is one of collaboration where I bring my knowledge and experience and you bring what you know about yourself.
Together, we create a plan for therapy that is targeted towards helping you attain the goals which are important to you.  I truly look forward to helping you become your own “Better Me.”

  • I offer both structured and supportive therapy based on your needs.
  • In structured therapy, I use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to help you learn how to recognize, understand, and eventually change negative thinking patterns that are giving rise to your difficulties.
  • This form of therapy takes approximately 8 to 20 sessions and requires active participation on your part and a desire to engage in “homework” activities outside of session to increase your skills and confidence in your own abilities.
  • Supportive counselling is appropriate for those who require less frequent therapy and who are not interested in working towards specific goals.
  • Career counselling is available for those who are experiencing indecision on next steps for school or for employment.  I am certified to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory which offers clarification on career interests.
  • Other forms of therapy I use to compliment my main approach include: Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology.

$120 per 50-minute session of psychotherapy or career counselling.

$20 for Strong Interest Inventory report in addition to session fees (for assessing career interests).
