Sara Trought is a compassionate therapist with a Master's in Counselling Psychology. She works with individuals and couples to navigate life’s challenges and build meaningful change using evidence-based approaches in a supportive, non-judgmental space.

With over 30 years experience and training as an educator and therapist, I bring a wide variety of knowledge and experience to my clients. My approach is relational, strengths-based, and capacity-building in order to support people to create a meaningful life.

I have worked as a psychotherapist for 25 years, and have come to think of psychotherapy as a 'healing dialogue' meant to repair the various emotional problems that so many people endure in this modern life. I offer an uncritical environment of support and listening.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with 25 years of experience in various settings. Some of the therapeutic approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion, Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness-based stress reduction.

We all need a place where we feel safe enough to express and explore ourselves. Your story or situation may be painful or complicated; but I am here for you. Together, we can cultivate understanding and acceptance, and create positive change within your life.

I believe that working from a client-centred, individualized approach is essential in fostering meaningful life change and growth through counselling. I view each client as an expert in their own lives and value and integrate each client’s ideas, preferences, and goals.
