We offer Type B tools and evaluations to evaluate behavior, career aspirations, personality traits, personal preference, and career counselling. We offer standardized tests to evaluate each individual in order to assist you in identifying patterns, beliefs, and the origin of your thoughts and desires as a human. There is often a difference between what we WANT to do and what we are GOOD at performing. We might love the idea of being a teacher, but lack patience. It is one thing to embark on a new career path, and a whole other to find the sweet spot of purpose, contribution, vitality and practical stability that leads to a really fulfilling vocation. The latter requires the courage to allow, shape and stay with a vision and the skills to navigate the inevitable peaks and valleys in confidence that are natural to the process. It is necessary to develop the ability to structure your own time toward your goal, maintaining the stability necessary to take new opportunities and creative risks. My approach to career counselling and planning is taken from the now famous resource Designing Your Life. We apply Design Thinking to reframe obstacles to opportunities in creative ways that may be impossible to imagine now. Then we design plans to give you the inspiration and practical experiences that prove what career decision will bring you the greatest happiness, fulfillment, and reward.

It's never too late to change your job, and many of us have more than one career path in our lifetime. Life is too short to stay in a career that causes you stress and unhappiness. The first step is a thorough assessment of your personality styles, strengths. and interests to determine which careers are best suited to you. After the second session, clients have a list of possible careers to explore. Professional services, such as resume and interview preparation, can assist the client in securing the job of their dreams.

To incorporate an SFBT approach to help clients identify their own resiliency from a strength based perspective. To use positive psychology language and focus on solution when clients may be wanting to explore other careers or feel stuck in their current one. To assist clients remember and identify past adversities and their history of overcoming situational challenges.

Life path and career/work struggles can both result from distress in relationships and precipitate distress. Support in addressing these issues can have a signifiacant positive impact on overall relationship functioning. The fact that relationships are one of our primary coping mechanisms multiplies the potential distress when these are present as they impacts the very mechanisms we use to cope.
