Rob has worked as a clinical counsellor for 6 years and has worked in the helping profession for over 10 years. Rob typically works with clients on career/ work-related issues, stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, communication, and career development. In his practice, Rob is committed to meeting clients where they are at and helping them flourish in their lives through creating a safe, authentic, client-centred environment.

With a client-centred approach, he customises the sessions to the issues, needs, and aims of his clients. Rob incorporates a variety of modalities including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) into his work with clients depending on their needs and issues. Rob has worked with a number of clients dealing with PTSD after a motor vehicle accident. Also, he is passionate about working with adults in the management and development of their professional careers.

Typically, benefits that Rob's clients experience include greater sense of direction in life, increased connection to their values, reduced feelings of stress and anxiety, and a greater sense of freedom and life satisfaction. Clients are able to utilise their skills, talents, and gifts to establish a career they love and value.

Rob has worked in a variety of academic settings in the past for career counselling. He has also been involved in a number of research projects in the fields of healthcare and education and is a session instructor at Trinity Western University where he teaches advanced statistics.

Rob's journey into the counselling field was windy and unpredictable. He had spent a rather unsatisfying few years prior working in finance and was looking for a career change. He then started volunteering in youth work where he had the opportunity to run an after school club for high school students. It was then that Rob realised his calling working in the helping field. Eventually, Rob had the opportunity go back to school and work on a masters degree.

In his spare time, Rob is passionate about philosophy and listens to a lot of podcasts.

Rob has a Masters of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.

The standard rate for a counselling session is 130 dollars CAD plus GST. Rob is an ICBC vendor and does direct billing for ICBC claims, which is subject to approval from the claimant's ICBC adjuster.

Rob's office is located at 501-3292 Production Way, Burnaby, BC V5A 4R4.
